WEEKLY TIP: Date your kids.

Schedule regular time with your kids one-on-one to make them feel important. I used to do this a couple times each month when I had two daughters. We had a great time going to the movies or just out for a hot drink.

But then I had another child. And then another. So now, four kids later, it’s not as easy. But it’s even more important. Especially since I moved my office home.

The dates don’t come as often, but they are even more important now. And when my daughter knows that I am going to be spending an evening with her, she is much more tolerant of me working late at night or letting dad help with homework in the afternoon.
