WEEKLY TIP: Take an EXTRA Day!
As you probably know, I have been traveling the last few weeks. I try to attend 2-3 major conferences each year where I can learn more about being successful in business AND connect with great people!
This last trip to Ali Brown’s Online Success Blueprint Workshop was one of the best conferences I have been to—mostly for the fantastic people that I met! But I did something different on this trip. Instead of rushing home to my family because I had been gone for 5 days, I took an extra day.
Usually, I come home because it is just too long to be gone and my family can only hold things together for so long and then they need me. And the minute I set foot into the house, everybody starts falling apart. And this doesn’t even count the fact that I am still processing all my great ideas and connections that I made while I was gone! Not fun!
But this trip was different. I took an extra day and hung out at the hotel. I checked my email and even started working on some of the great ideas that I had from the conference. When I returned home, my husband and I stayed up half the night talking about all the possibilities! It was the best trip and the best coming home I have ever had.
My new rule: TAKE AN EXTRA DAY for ME whenever I travel to places where I need to decompress. Because home is not the best place for decompressing for me. But nice hotels are!
